[ep 133] I’m an apprentice of Jesus who seeks to understand the practical implications of this in the nuances of all aspects of everyday life.  It is my prayer that the Spirit continues to grow and shape me to reflect the light of Christ a little more each day to those around me, and what is more, that my love for the Lord will increase without bound.  Realizing what this means within the context of my various roles (as a husband, a father, a mathematician etc.) is an ongoing discovery full of plenty of mistakes, wherein the Lord demonstrates his never ending patience, graciousness, and mercy with me.

I am a husband to an incredible wife (she really is the best partner I could have asked for) and four wonderful kids, all of whom challenge me in my passionate pursuit of Christ.  Currently, I have been blessed with the opportunity to pursue and complete (officially as of May 5th, but successfully defended my dissertation) a PhD in mathematics after serving as a high school math teacher for many years at high schools that were in underserved communities in both Charlotte and Chicago.  I am thankful for each part of the journey He has led me on, and how He has used the difficulties to shape me for my good and the triumphs to put His glory on display.
