[ep 54] Gwen Hicks is the executive director of Amarillo Angels. Their mission is to support families doing the work of foster care in the Texas panhandle. This interview is so much fun. Gwen spent a good portion of her work life as an educator. We talk about how her work life gave her the skills to fulfill her current role. We also talk about retirement and how we are christians can think about retirement from a kingdom perspective. I think you will get a lot out of this episode. Let me know what you think.

Great interview, Gwen and Currey. I’ve known Gwen, mostly through church, for 19 years and she is definitely a mover and a shaker who loves the Lord. Thank you for providing such an insightful overview of the work Amarillo Angels does as well as the many supportive volunteer opportunities. God bless the children and to His glory!
